Getting Back In Shape

So last week we hit the 2 month mark since Brynlee was born! It was kind of bittersweet because I love how much she is developing and growing but it also reminded me how much weight I've gained and how down in my dumps I feel because of being so out of shape.  So after a much needed breakdown with lots of crying and feeling bad for myself I brushed it off and I have a game plan now.  Ben's completely on board with helping me get back in shape and loose the baby weight and then some!

We are starting out pretty simple.  I have my exercise schedule on the fridge along with a picture of me at my ideal weight and a picture of me now and a motivational quote, “Progress is impossible without change and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.” We eat a lot of pasta because it's so cheap, yummy, and you can make a ton of delicious recipes! however it goes straight to my thighs so I'm making a rule that we can't have it more then twice a week.  I really eat pretty healthy now but my problem is finding the time to exercise.  I have to workout around Bens work schedule so I will have to go around midnight.

I have a deadline as well.  By the end of July I need to have lost 30 lbs.  If I start now I need to loose a little more than 5 lbs a month.  That is definitely doable! With eating right and exercising regularly oh and tanning as well
I can't wait to go from this
back to this

Dang I got huge!

  1. Just to let you know I think you're looking great. :) If you ever need a workout buddy I'm here all the time, and I want to loose weight too! Once this snow melts we can go on lots of walks with our babies.

    1. Thanks Rachel! I usually work out at midnight when Ben get's home so if you are even up to going just let me know! I workout at the World's gym and I can bring a friend for free each time. I can't wait till all this snow melts, I took Brynlee out in the stroller a few times before the snow came and she really liked it.

  2. It is so frustrating losing the weight! I came home from the hospital and hopped on the scale hoping to see an instant 12pounds off since I just got rid of that much. When I looked at the scale I had lost 4 pounds! Four freakin pounds after having a 7lb baby. Anyways, it took me a year to lose it all and get my body back. The funny thing is, I lost 15lbs when I started working at Taco Bell. The key is to stay on your feet and get steps in. Go buy one of those step counters and wear it on your hip, you will be amazed at how little you move. My mom lost 90lbs just from taking more steps around the house. She puts one piece of laundry away at a time, walks as she does the dishes and vacuums the whole house every day. Cleaning can work some serious calories and even more if you're carrying a baby around.

Sorry for writing so much, but I know how frustrating it can be and how it can be mentally challenging. Everyone told me how big my butt was after I had Lincoln. They still do when they see pictures! You are beautiful and have the motivation to lose the weight!

    1. Heather I don't believe you because your so tiny! :) Girl you don't even look like you had a baby! I should really get one of those step counters! I'm sooo not looking forward to going back to work part-time in April just like 2-3 days a week at nighttime, I'm going to have to develop some serious willpower!
