Working for Quality Gal

So as some of you know I've been working from home for about 2 months now.  The company that I work for is called Quality Gal, and is owned by Internet Marketing Ninjas.  My sister works for IMA as an editor, so that's how I got involved with them.  My goal is to make $100 a week.  Sometimes I make more and sometimes I make less.  It all depends on how many articles I write.

Overall, I really love what I have been able to accomplish!  I write search engine articles.  Mainly they are either 250 words to 750 words of informative content that I have in incorporate a number of keywords.  This simply means when you go on Google and type in best Mother's Day gifts, there are a bunch of websites that come up.  Well it's the articles that I write that make their websites appear before others in the search engine.  The articles vary in pay.  The less you write the smaller the commission on it.  So a 250 word article would pay me $6.  A 750 word article typically pays $15.  There are also other factors such as the number of links that you must include, so the more links the higher the pay.  Also sometime they will increase the pay if they need something rewritten or nobody is claiming it.  I can usually do a 750 word article in about an hour.  However, that's because I have practice now.  When I first started it took me a lot longer because I was learning how to find creditable links, and pretty much over thinking it.

The topic of the articles varies by what the client needs.  For example I just wrote a ton of short 250 word articles for a online retailer for personalized gifts.  Each one was different, I talked about everything from garden flags, to romantic gifts, to nursery decor.  Last week though I wrote a bunch of 750 word articles that needed 8 links each for a travel company.  I wrote all about the traveling to Barcelona, Paris, San Antonio, and so much more.  I've even written a large number of educational articles.  Simply meaning that I've written  about how to study effectively, time management, and many other topics.

I usually try to only write the articles that interest me because I can do them a lot faster.  There really are no negatives with working for Quality.  Of course there are some small drawbacks because sometimes the keywords for the articles don't make sense.  I always read the keywords before I accept them though, so I rarely have this problem.

I highly recommend working for Quality Gal!  I know that there are a lot of stay at home mom's that read our blog, so I just wanted to make sure that they have all the information.  Go to their website, here.  There is a short application and then you are required to send them your tax return and W9.  It's 100% completely legit.  If they want you apart of their team they will send you a test article, typically in 3 weeks.  You then need to complete the article and send it in within 2 days.  For them to hire you, you must follow every direction perfectly.  After you have written you article make sure you proofread it multiple times, and have someone else read it.  If you don't follow the directions, then you won't be able to write for them.  However, you can wait 30 days and reapply.

Tips for working from home

  • Work while baby or kids nap or give them an activity.  Communicate with them that you will be working for the next 30 minutes, but afterwards you will play with them.
  • Try to make it apart of your routine by doing it at the same time every day.
  • Set a goal for not how many articles you will do a week, but how much money you want to earn.
  • Take advantage of good writing opportunities.  Even if you think you'll have to stay up late working one night, do it.  You never know if there is going to be a week of not so easy articles.
If you have any questions just ask!

  1. It's very good of you to share your information. Being a good writer is definitely an asset and doing this will not only make you money but it will help you to improve the skill you already have without complicating your home life. Good choice.

  2. Oh Britt! I am SO excited you shared this! I already sent the info and hopefully get to write a practice article soon! This would be the biggest blessing ever because I want to go home but we just don't have any money to budget for that. Thanks super tons. I love writing and never thought I could actually get a job doing it. Hopefully it all works out and I get to do it too. Talk about a self-esteem booster as a stay-at-home mom. You're awesome and I love reading your posts.

  3. Thanks so much Heather! I have been super blessed by working with this company. At first it will take you a little longer to write the articles but after a month or two you'll be a pro! It's been really great because even working outside the home, I probably wouldn't be making more then $100 a week if I was working 15 hours a week. I try to tell as many other mom's about this company because I really believe that they help make it possible for women to be homemakers, while being able physically help with finances. If you want me to proof read your first article just to make sure all the directions are followed and the format is right, just let me know :) I know that I had questions, but since my sister works as an editor there I could easily just call her up. Good luck!
